Hello, friends!

Can you believe we are less than a week away from Thanksgiving?! And do you know what that means? Family gatherings!

Is this you? You’re all too delighted to host the family for Thanksgiving. You’re already picturing the kids becoming best friends with their cousins and the grandparents nestling into your comfy chair with a tummy full of turkey. Your eyes creep around the room — you still haven’t hung the updated family photos. Wait...are there any photos of your parents? You meant to hang them, but the year got away from you.

Don’t panic. We’ll help you create a photo wall so you can showcase when little Nathan got his braces off and Christine got engaged. Adding some photos of the relatives you know will be around your table will be like an extra-cozy welcome mat. Nothing will make your great-aunt Edie smile more than spotting the photo of her on your wall. Make your home everyone’s home this Thanksgiving!

Reunion Designs’ No-Fail Tips for Hanging Photos:

1. Align the picture with whatever you see at eye level, for example, a bookshelf or window casing

2. Be mindful of negative space: the space between your pictures is just as important

3. Study the motion in the pictures: There is motion inside most artwork (people looking to left or right, an object blocking motion). Ensure that the motion in the photos is properly directed

4. Play with photo placement before you hang the frames on the wall. Here’s a hint — create your grouping on the floor or on a table as a first step. Moving a print around on the floor is much easier than breaking out the spackle.

With these simple tips, you can rest assured that your home is welcoming to all who enter. Also, please don’t forget to hang a photo of your parents...we think they’d appreciate it.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Reunion Designs
